Antioxidant activity of some synthetic phenolic compounds and its relation to physicochemical properties.

Nora Kamal Soliman;

Abstract

Oxidation of visnagin (29a) with chromic acid led to the formation of 7-hydroxy-5-methoxy-2-methyl benzopyran-6-carboxyladehyde (71).

Compound (71) condensed with p-hydroxy-acetophenone (75) to give chalcone(82).

Interaction of (82) with hydrazine hyd
