Manal Shalaby graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Ain Shams University in Cairo in 2008 and received her Master’s degree in Literature and Adaptation Studies in 2013. She worked at Williams College in Massachusetts where she did research work on literature and film studies and taught Arabic to American students from 2013 to 2015 as part of the Fulbright FLTA Program. She received her Ph.D. in English Literature in 2018 from Ain Shams University. Manal is also a part-time teacher trainer who has designed and given workshops on teaching enhancement and hybrid learning. Manal presented at conferences in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Denmark and the United States; her publications cover a wide range of topics yet focus on the interdisciplinary nature of artistic and cultural manifestations.
