Biography
Shimaa Mahmoud is an Assistant Professor of English Literature at the Faculty of Women for Arts, Science and Education, English Department, Ain Shams University. Her research interests are Arab-American literature, trauma literature, refugee literature, Comparative Literature and psychoanalysis. Besides her research interests, she has a special interest in translation and has taught a great number of translation courses. She has given many public lectures and participated in many academic seminars, workshops and national and international conferences. Asst. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud is also the author of a number of research papers published in national and international journals.
