Biography
Ahmed Shaker was born in Cairo, Egypt. He received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in 2003 and 2010, respectively, from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He has been with Engineering Physics Department, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, since 1997, where he is currently an Associate Professor. He joined North Carolina State University as a postdoctoral researcher from August 2020 to March 2021. His fields of research include simulation and modeling of semiconductor power devices, solar cells, 3D detectors and nanoscale devices including TFETs and CNTFETs.
