BIOCHEMICAL STUDIES ON THE METABOLISM OF SOME NUTRIENTS
MOHAMED GAD EL-IIAK AHMED KASSEM;
Abstract
Poultry problems are still needing further investigations particularly for formulating the suitable feed mixture, which contains the adequate amounts of minerals for growing in order to ensure suitable efficiency of
feed utilization and economic efficiency of production.
In the present investigation four elements, i.e. copper, zinc, calcium
I
and phosphorus each was used from two sources under three levels on broiler chicks twenty one days old as an experimental birds.
These studies included the chemical analysis of four principle ingredients, i.e. yellow corn, soybean meal, corn gluten meal and fish meal
a{ld basal diet. Moisture, crude fiber, ash content, crude protein, lipid and
I I
total carbohydrates by difference were determined for these principle
I
constituents of the chicken diets.
