Assessment of Taxonomic Relationships Between Family Chenopodiaceae Vent. and Amaranthaceae Juss. in Egypt

Abstract
The macromorphological characters of the whole plant and micromorphological characters viz. stem and lamina anatomical characteristics, lamina epidermal characteristics (LM and SEM) as well as palynological characteristics of 35 wild and cultivated taxa (representing 14 genera, 29 species and three sub-species belonging to Chenopodiaceae, four genera and six species to Amaranthaceae) were investigated to identify the most important morphological traits, to estimate an additional fundamental character in reassessment the taxonomic position of the two families and add an evidence to maintain of the Chen -Am alliance and combined in one large Amarantaceae s. l. or enabled it as two distinct families. The obtained data were collected in cumulative tables and plates.
