Biography
Dina Ahmed Abdel Aziz Ramadan is an associate professor of Linguistics and Translation at the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Women, Ain Shams University (Cairo, Egypt). In 2009, she got her M.A. in linguistics, entitled “A Phonosyntactic Analysis of Neoclassical and Romantic Poems.” In 2012, she got her Ph.D. in linguistics, entitled "Phonology and Morphosyntax of English and Arabic Sign Language: A Contrastive Study." In 2012, she received a grant from The Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt to teach and study in the United States of America for the Academic year 2012/2013. She translated a number of books and literary works among which is Zygmunt Bauman Modernity and the Holocaust in collaboration with Dr. Haggag Ali (Professor of English Literature at Arts Academy). She also supervised the translation of Arran Stibbe Ecolinguistics: Language, Ecology, and The Stories We Live by (2021) which won the first place at Young Translators Competition: Translate . . Innovate organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Culture represented by the National Center of Translation in Cairo, Egypt (2022).
