Biography
Prof. Dr. Amr Mossad is a Professor of Agricultural Engineering at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, with more than 20 years of academic and professional experience in water and biosystems engineering. He received his PhD in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Palermo, Italy, and holds an MSc in Environment and Health from the University of Tuscia, Italy, and a BSc in Agricultural Mechanization from Ain Shams University.
His research focuses on irrigation and drainage engineering, water resources management, hydrologic modeling, and the application of remote sensing and GIS in arid and semi-arid environments. He has participated in several internationally funded research projects and published widely in leading international journals. Prof. Mossad has also held senior academic leadership roles at Ain Shams University and served nationally as Executive Director of Egypt’s National Food Safety Authority.
