Biography
Samy El-Gamal, an Egyptian scholar born in 1977, graduated in Physics from Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 1999. He earned his M.Sc. in Nuclear Physics in 2005 and completed his Ph.D. in 2009, both from the same university. Currently a distinguished professor at Ain Shams University, Samy has had a remarkable career spanning various prestigious institutions, including the Faculty of Engineering and the Higher Institute of Engineering in Egypt, as well as the Faculty of Science at Northern Border University in Saudi Arabia, for 11 years.
A prolific researcher, he has authored approximately 40 Web of Science-indexed papers, achieving an h-index of 15 and garnering nearly 1,000 citations, which highlight his significant contributions to scientific advancement. His primary research interests include polymer nanocomposites, solid polymer electrolytes, and dye-doped polymers.
Beyond academia, Samy is passionate about physics, teaching, and producing impactful scientific work. In his personal life, he enjoys reading, practicing meditation, and walking, which bring balance and fulfillment to his routine.
