Biography
Dr. Noha M. El Zahar graduated at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University (2010) with a cumulative appreciation “Excellent with Honor degree” and earned the Top Ten Appreciation Awards for class 2010. She worked in the Department of Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry at Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University, since 2011. She received the MSc degree in 2014 and the PhD degree in 2018 at the same department; she also conducted 2 years of her PhD studies (2016-2018) at University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, USA, through a governmental joint scholarship. She conducted various projects involving the determination of pharmaceuticals in their bulk/dosage forms and biological fluids using spectroscopic, electrochemical, chromatographic and mass spectrometry techniques. She published 17 international publications in high-impact scientific journals and attented 8 conferences. She has developed a strong publication record and earned the AAPS Graduate Research Award in 2017 at The AAPS Annual meeting and exposition, San Diego, California, USA. She has more than 14 years teaching experience; she participated as a demonstrator and teaching assistant for all the practical courses of Analytical Chemistry for undergraduate students (in both mainstream and credit hour systems) and since 2018, she participated as a Lecturer in teaching theoretical and supervising practical courses. She also participated as a part time-lecturer in Analytical Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Pharmacy, British University in Cairo (from 10/2019 to 02/2020). She attended different workshops “faculty and leadership development and proposal writing”, many courses in the analysis and instrumentation technologies, and Faculty and department seminars. Since 2018, she has been the Analytical Chemistry Department coordinator and Faculty team member for The Quality Assurance and Accreditation. She joined the Medicinal Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Pharmacy, king Salman International University in 10/2020 till 09/2024 through a deputation. By February 2024, her exemplary contributions and expertise in Analytical Chemistry led to her promotion to the position of Associate Professor. She was awarded a Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholarship, an award granted to outstanding researchers with exceptional academic merit, from 10/2024-06/2025 at The University of Texas at Austin, Austin, Texas, USA.
