Biography
Hussein M. Ali Professor of Agricultural Biochemistry (2000-Now), graduated (1978) and got an MSc (1982) from the Agricultural Biochemistry Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University. Obtained Ph.D. from Michigan State University, USA (1990) and earned the Herbert T. Graham Prize as an outstanding Ph.D student (1989). Served as the Head of the Biochemistry Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University (2007-2010). Participated in the Permanent Promotion Committee of Agricultural Chemistry and Biotechnology (2008-2010). I worked as a visiting faculty member at Umm Qura University (1994-2000) and Dammam (now called Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal) University (2010-2015) and received many recognition certificates from them. Collaborated with Elsevier and Springer Publishers (2015-Now) as a reviewer for many respected journals and got from them a number of recognition certificates. Earned also from the Web of Science “Top Peer Reviewer” award in Agricultural Sciences in 2018. In addition, served in several positions including Editor-in-Chief (2020-Now) for “Arab University Journal of Agricultural Sciences” (EKB journal), Head of the “Central Lab” at Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University (2019-Now), Supervising the “Central Lab” of Horticultural Institute, Agricultural Research Center (2003-2004), and consultant of Antiquities Research and Conservation Center Ministry of Culture (2024-Now). Represented Egypt in six international conferences besides many national conferences. Served the society by being one of the Director Board members of “Agricultural Chemistry and Environmental Protection Society” among some other national and international societies. Published thirty-nine articles in twenty-three international (Scopus) journals with a total impact factor of 123.4 and gained 1264 citations. The papers are distributed as follows: (Q1) 24, (Q2) 7, (Q3) 6 and (Q4) 2.
