Biography
I am a Professor of Operative Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University,
Egypt. I received my Bachelor of Dental Medicine and Surgery from Cairo University in
1996, followed by a Master’s degree in Operative Dentistry in 2001 and a PhD in
Operative Dentistry in 2007 from Ain Shams University. My doctoral research focused on
the clinical serviceability of restorative materials in patients with systemic conditions.
I have extensive academic, teaching, and administrative experience at Ain Shams
University. I previously served as Head of the Operative Dentistry Department and have
contributed to postgraduate education, quality assurance, curriculum development, and
accreditation activities. I am actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate
teaching and currently serve as course director for operative dentistry, dental cariology,
prevention, and nanotechnology courses.
My research interests include operative and adhesive dentistry, dental cariology,
remineralization and preventive strategies, nanotechnology applications in dentistry,
CAD/CAM ceramic restorative materials, and the influence of systemic and
environmental factors on the performance of dental restorative materials. I have
published numerous articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals and
have presented my research at major international scientific conferences. I also serve as
a reviewer for the Egyptian Dental Journal
