MATHEMATICAL MODELING FOR AIRPORTS GASEOUS EMISSIONS
Usama Ali Mahmoud Abd Elwahab;
Abstract
Civil Aviation is one of the most growing up industries around the world, which consumes large amounts of fossil fuel in its various operations. Air traffic in Egypt has increased in recent years and this trend in continue. Due to this consumption there are gaseous emissions emitted to the air such as carbon dioxide (CO2) , sulphur dioxide(SO2) hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxides (NOX) which have effects on climate change by increasing the greenhouse gases and reduce the air quality cause asthma, cancer and irritation of nose and eyes.
This makes determination of emissions sources and inventorying its emissions from different airports operations very important in studying the effects of these emissions on airport vicinities and determination the airport footprint. One of those airports is Cairo International Airport which is the major airport in Egypt and is going on to expand
