NEW METHODS AND MODERN TECHNIQUES FOR DETERMINATION OF SOME ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTANTS

Abstract
Four electroanalytical techniques for quantification pf some environmental pollutants were utilized in the present dissertation. The emphasis was focused on the fabrication, system optimization, analytical characterization and application of some electrochemical sensors of different natures, potentiometric , amperometric , semiconductor and Quartz microbalance sensors for simple, sensitive, selective and rapid determination of chromium (IV), atrazine, nitrogen dioxid , methane, carbon monoxide, chloroform, octane , and toluenk. The thesis consists of six chapters.

The sensor was used for the sequential determination of Cr6
and Cr3+ by direct monitoring of Cr6+ followed by oxidation of
Cr3
and measurement of the total chromium.
