Abstract
This thesis aimed to ascertain the diagnostic performance of vatious quantitative and qualitative MRl criteria used to characterize breast masses.
The review of literature enclosed the anatomical background of the female breast as well as the pathologic bases commonest breast neoplasms.
The practical work included 26 patients presented with suspected
breast masses who underwent dynamic MRl examination before and 1, 2, 4 and 7 minutes after i.v. injection of a bolus of gadolinium contrast agent followed by iniage subtraction of the pre- from the post contrast iniages allowing more accurate interpretation. The MRl examination was preceded by clinical evaluation of the cases as well as mammographic and sonographic
