Abstract


Present work studied the effect of heat release rate, fire location and natural ventilation location on tenable conditions in a large mosque at the human level. FDS 5.3.3 ver. was used to predict the various parameters of visibility, smoke layer height, carbon monoxide concentration and temperature. Also predicting the evacuation time at different cases. Nine cases were conducted; cases from 1 to 3 are done to study the effect of heat release rate. Case 4 and case 5 are done to compare the effect of fire location. Finally, from case 6 to case 9 are conducted to study the effect of natural ventilation location
