SHEAR STRENGTHENING OF REINFORCED CONCRETE T-BEAMS USING ANCHORED FRP WRAPS
Nouran Mohamed Mahmod Taha;
Abstract
In this thesis, the shear behavior of RC beams strengthened by partially wrapping bonded CFRP sheets was experimentally and analytically investigated. In the experimental program, eleven medium-scale T-section specimens were tested under the effect of combined flexure and shear. The major parameters in-vestigated were the various spacing of CFRP, the presence and type of anchor CFRP wraps and the anchorage scheme.
The results display that applying FRP anchors to include FRP sheets used to increase strength of shear critical beams delayed or eliminated the FRP from debonding and improving the beams capacity of shear strength
