Abstract


Dry Eye Disease (DED) is a disorder of tear film that results in ocular surface damage and ocular discomfort. Dry eye is a very common disease, associated with high osmolarity of the tear film and mild inflammation at the surface of eye. Oxidative stress and damage have been recognized to be involved in a variety of inflammatory diseases, including ocular surface disease or dry eye syndromes.
This study was done to study the protective effect of blackberry and pomegranate as polyphenolic compounds for managing dry eye in rabbits which divided into six groups each group contain eight rabbits. The groups were classified as follows:
