The Relation Between Inner Segment/ Outer Segment Junction And Visual Acuity Before And After Ranibizumab In Diabetic Macular Edema
Noha Hassan Abdellah Hareedy;
Abstract
This study included 50 eyes of 44 patients with
diabetic macular edema. In this study, the association
between the integrity of the inner segment/outer segment
(IS/OS) junction line, visual acuity, color vision, retinal
volume, central macular thickness, type of diabetic
retinopathy and control of diabetes mellitus were evaluated.
There was a statistically non-significant relation between
IS/OS before ranibizumab injection and the other studied
parameters. After first injection there was a highly
statistically significant relationship between IS/OS and both
the retinal volume and color vision. After the second and
the third injections there was a statistically significant
diabetic macular edema. In this study, the association
