Nourhan Muhammad Diaa El Din Asaad;
Abstract
Forty four donors were selected according to certain exclusion and inclusion criteria (page 58) from the period between 2014 to April 2017 who underwent Rt hepatectomies to donate to recipients with end stage liver disease. They were studied for the effect of lowering residual volume on liver donors in Ain Shams specialized hospital and Egypt Air Hospital liver transplantation unit.
They were divided into two groups according to residual volume, Group (A) 10 "donors" RV is low from 33% to 35% and Group(B) "34 donors" RV is higher from 35%-38% to compare between them regarding postoperative data as bilirubin level, pattern of liver enzymes, hospital stay and complications.
