Lake Burullus is the brackish lake, situated along the Mediterranean Seacoast. Lake Burullus receives waste waters from industrial and domestic activities in increasing quantities through the canal networks, without any pre-treatment. The rapid rise of petro-refineries, fertilizer manufacturing and industries are the major sources of pollution in the region. This pollution have a negative impact on water quality and fish organs.
The present study includes:
1- Water analysis of the physico-chemical parameters of water and distribution of some heavy metals and investigation of plankton in water.
