Evaluation of Marginal Integrity of Laminate Veneers Constructed from Two Different Ceramic (In-Vitro Study
Ibrahim Sameh Mohamed Rady;
Abstract
This study was performed to evaluate the difference of vertical marginal gap of laminate veneers constructed from E.max CAD versus Celtra duo. The results of this study were statistically analyzed using a two -way analysis of variance. One-way ANOVA was done for compared surfaces followed by Tukey’s pair-wise if showed significant.
A total of 16 freshly extracted central incisor were prepared with veneer but-joint design, mounted in epoxy blocks then divided into two equal groups.
Group A): (8 Samples) Celtra duo group.
Group B): (8 samples) E.max CAD group.
Laminate veneers were scanned with Omnicam designed with biogeneric option and 4.4 CEREC software fabricated by CEREC MC XL milling machine, fired for a short firing cycles, then cemented with Choice 2 resin cement after surface treatment of both tooth and veneers according to manufacturer instructions.
All samples were subjected to thermo cycling simulation equivalent to one year of clinical service.
