Abstract

No organization could exist without having customers, in this previous notion the word customers referred to both “internal customers” and “external customers”. In this research, the researcher is focusing on organizational internal customers which are employees. Employees have become the most important pillar in building the organizational human capital. Additionally organizations recently are giving more attention to organizational behavior, specifically concentrating on the behavior of employees in their work environment.
Recently, organizations started to give attention towards reducing the negative aspects that could lead the organization to lose its competitive edge through building a positive relationship with their employees, by increasing employee satisfaction, motivation, psychological capital and all the positive behaviors inside the organization. While on the other side the organization work on diminishing the negative behaviors inside the organization such as employee dissatisfaction, organizational cynicism and work-life conflict. Accordingly, this research will focus on studying organizational cynicism (OC), quality of work life (QWL), and organizational citizenship behaviors (OCBs).
Cynicism almost exists in all organizations, it is perceived as a social problem. It refers to the negative feelings of employees towards their organization such as anger, disappointment and hopelessness (Andersson, 1996 and Ozler et al., 2010). Brandes et al. (1999) have classified organizational cynicism into three cornerstones which are cognitive, affective, and behavioral cynicism.
In organizations, quality of work life (QWL) is needed for operating the organization successfully. QWL is defined as a representation of the wellbeing of the employees within the organization. In addition to that QWL helps in attracting and retaining high caliber employees. Besides allocating employees in the right place, this leads to enhancing organizational performance. Work life balance should be sustained to assure that all employees are motivated to work at their maximum effort and within environment that is empty from stress (Beloor , et. al , 2017).
