Strengthening of Post Tensioned Flat Slabs Using FRP Strips

Abstract

this chapter contains the conclusions from experimental and FE results, as explained in the preceding chapters, it also contains the recommendations for future work are illustrated. In the experimental part of the research, a limited test matrix of 5 PT slabs was designed to investigate the effects of the CFRP strips. In the numerical part of the research, 3D FE models were developed to validate the experimental results, Results obtained in this research might not be significant because of the limited test matrix, however, a better understanding on the flexural strengthening with CFRP strips would be provided by these results.
