Abstract

Management is concerned with achieving the goals of the organization by employing people in the best and cheapest way, to ensure that the goals are reached efficiently and effectively, and thus increase the profitability of the organization, as it achieves increased production and lower costs as a result of operating efficiency.
In the context of the management's constant endeavor to increase production and reduce costs, the management is concerned with the availability of the necessary information to ensure the speed and accuracy of decision-making by providing managers with the information they need to prepare reports and thus achieving a better understanding of the operations that occur within the organization.
Accordingly, organizations resort to the application of “Enterprise Resource Planning” systems, which need long periods to activate their operation and transfer the data of previous operations to them to replace the manual administrative work and provide information and reports with accuracy and speed, while providing means to ensure follow-up customer satisfaction and Resolving their complaints, which requires spending large amounts of money to invest in these programs and training employees to use them efficiently.
As a conclusion, it is necessary, when evaluating enterprise resource planning systems, to verify the impact of these systems on raising operational efficiency as a result of increasing management efficiency and thus achieving a competitive advantage for the organization, which affects the increase in profitability.
