Abstract

It is well documented that nutritional care of the hospitalized patient is not the function of the dietitian alone . It is a multidisciplinary approach using the knowledge, the practice and the interest of all persons in the health team. Good nutritional care of inpatients may well shorten the length of hospitalization and reduce the magnitude of hospital malnutrition.
