Abstract

This study investigates the behavior of incandescent lamps over time, focusing on the impact of voltage variations on lamp performance and lifetime. Employing accelerated lifetime testing with spectrometer-based monitoring, the study tracks spectral output changes, degradation rates, and identified failure points. Analysis includes power spectral trends, assessing vacuum quality effects, and determining optimal voltage levels to mitigate degradation. Varying acceleration rates are compared to understand their influence on lamp lifetime. Ultimately, this work aims to optimize incandescent lamp performance, offering insights for enhancing lifetime and addressing sustainability in optical spectral sensing design.
