Biography
Khadiga Ahmed Ahmed Abou-Taleb is a Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She obtained her Ph.D. (2009), M.Sc. (2005), and B.Sc. (2000) in Agricultural Microbiology from the same institution. Her research interests center on microbial enzymes, microbial fermentation, bioremediation, and biodegradation, with applications in agricultural and environmental biotechnology.
Dr. Abou-Taleb has extensive teaching experience in microbiology, covering both theoretical and practical courses. She has taught subjects including Bacterial Physiology, Microbial Enzymes and Fermentation, Antibiotics, Microbial Production of Vitamins and Hormones, Microtechnique, Medical Microbiology, Microbial Ecology and Environmental Monitoring, Applied Microbiology, and Computer Applications in Biotechnology. Practical courses include General Microbiology (Arabic and English), Bacterial Physiology, Microbiology of Pollution, Agricultural Microbiology (Soil and Food), Bacterial Taxonomy, and Microbial Fermentation.
She is a member of several scientific societies, including the Egyptian Society of Applied Microbiology, Agricultural Chemistry and Environmental Protection Society, and the Egyptian Journal of Genetics and Cytology.
